On 4 April 2019, SEJII beneficiaries from the Ministry of Justice and the High Judicial Council (HCJ) together with the Action Team presented the concrete results of the Action at the third meeting of the Horizontal Facility steering committee for Albania held in Tirana. They also highlighted possible future prospects regarding the on-going justice reform and the EU integration process. The work of the CEPEJ with both national authorities and courts was particularly welcomed. Court representatives mentioned the long-term impact of the CEPEJ in the daily court management and the EU representative flagged the added value of the SEJ II which is the only programme which works directly with judges in Albania. The HJC stressed the importance of receiving CEPEJ assistance to address priority areas of the reform. The CEPEJ has already mobilised international experts to contribute to the regular work of the HCJ Working Group which is addressing the judicial map review which is of high priority.
