ECHR Judgements
One of the aims of the CEPEJ consists in preventing appeals to the European Court of Human Rights based on the poor running of judicial systems (Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights) by helping to improve the functioning of justice in the European States. The European Court of Humans Rights based its rulings in several judgements on certain aspects of the work of the CEPEJ, in particular those aimed at preventing the violation of reasonable timeframes of procedures.
