The jury of eminent individuals from the judicial world, examined 50 applications from some 20 member States of the Council of Europe.

The 2010 Cyrstal Scales of Justice Prize has been awarded to the Yambol Administrative Court (Bulgaria) for its efforts to help users better understand judicial procedures and related information.

Three special mentions were also awarded at the main event of the European Day of Civil Justice in Ljubljana (Slovenia), to the following candidates:

• Regional Court of Linz and FMG Amor (Austrian Mobility Research), for the scheme "Promoting safer driving"
• University of Technology and Ministry of Justice (Finland), for the scheme "New way of systematic management of delay reduction projects in courts - combining external expertise and internal participation"
• Supreme Court of the Republic of Slovenia, for the scheme "Automated system for enforcement of authentic documents (COVL)"

The Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Ms Maud de Boer-Buquicchio, a speech redrawing the evolution of the importance of the Prize since its creation, in 2005.
