The pilot courts meet to contribute to the CEPEJ work

The CEPEJ will hold the 15th plenary meeting of the CEPEJ Network of pilot courts. The meeting will be held in Strasbourg on 13 October 2022. The Network provides a platform for the exchanges of practices in the field of efficiency and quality of justice. It is also a forum of reflection on the on-going work as well as the implementation of CEPEJ tools. The Network should also contribute to the initiation of new tools, actions and coaching projects. The Network is composed of 40 pilot courts that are nominated by members of the CEPEJ.

During the meeting, the pilot courts will examine the following themes: gender diversity in the recruitment and promotion of judges, access of women to justice, analysis of the length of civil proceedings and use of e-auctions in the courts. The pilot courts will be informed of the CEPEJ tools recently adopted and asked to provide feedback on the on-going and possible new tools useful for their practice. They will also share experiences and good practices on the functioning of their courts. The focus will be placed on initiatives introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic that will remain in place even after the health crisis.
