Online open Days of the Slovenian Notariat – Open days of notary offices
Every year, on the occasion of the European Justice Day, Slovenian notaries opened the doors of their offices and were available to visitors for advice in the field of civil law. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, we were obliged to organise this year’s Open Day in virtual form and thus take a step forward towards digitisation of notarial services. The “open door day of notarial offices” will be held on October 23rd, between 9am and 12 pm. Slovenian notaries and notaries will raise awareness among citizens about their rights under civil law. They will pay special attention to wills, their composition and their storage.
Within the framework of the European Day of Justice, the Slovenian notariat will also organise a virtual ceremonial event at which they will premiere a short documentary about the history of the notariat in Slovenia, which was shot on the occasion of its 25th anniversary. The Slovenian notariat has also issued the jubilee number of the journal "Notarski vestnik".

Web publication of informative contents, Conclusion of the pilot project on specific user-oriented training for judges and court staff
Until the 25th of October 2020, the informative and internationally awarded website https://nasodiscu.si has been updated with new contents closely related to civil justice - i.e. tutelage for adults and inheritance on the base of testament. The further expansion of contents in the field of family law (e.g. adoptions, temporary measures for the benefit/protection of children, domestic violence prevention) is in preparation and is expected to be published shortly.
In October, pilot trainings for judges (rhetorics and psychology in the court-room) and court staff (professional conduct) were concluded with the initiative to include these topics in regular trainings.
