A fact-finding mission of the CEPEJ to Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina is taking place during 6-8 March in the framework of a new CEPEJ cooperation project.
The CEPEJ Secretariat will present its work and tools to the main project beneficiaries: the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council, judicial and prosecutorial training institutions and Ministry of Justice at state level. The Secretariat also visited first and second instance courts in Sarajevo.
To establish the needs of this project, exchanges in line with the CEPEJ methodology and tools will also take place on issues related to data collection, the backlog of cases, quality of services in courts, cyberjustice, and trainings in courts on efficiency and quality.
This activity is jointly organised by CEPEJ actions in the region, namely, by “HFIII: HF 4 - Strengthening the Efficiency and Quality of Justice in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiHSEJ)” action and the regional action “Towards a better evaluation of the results of judicial reforms in the Western Balkans – Dashboard Western Balkans“, which are parts of the joint programme entitled "Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Türkiye III", co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
