16 trainers enhanced capacities in a supervision session organised within the Kiko and the Hand programme for preventing sexual abuse of children

On 16-18 November, 16 trainers (teachers and managers from pre-school education institutions) participated in a two and a half day supervision session organized by the Council of Europe Project "Protection of children against and prevention of violence, including online violence in the Republic of Moldova" in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research.

The topics addressed during the sessions aimed to provide space for trainers to share the successes of the programmes they carried out between April and September this year in their institutions. This session focused on working with parents to implement the Kiko and Hand programme and ways to improve the delivery of training activities. Subjects were developed for a prompt and appropriate response to situations where cases of abuse are disclosed by children.

This session comes as a follow-up to the series of trainings held in March. The participants exchanged experiences in organising activities within the "Kiko and Hand" programme, reflecting on the activities carried out with children, parents and teachers and identifying solutions to overcome obstacles in the implementation of the programme.

This activity contributes to the achievement of the intermediate outcome of Project "Professionals in government authorities involved in monitoring children's rights and protecting children from violence, abuse and sexual exploitation work in line with Council of Europe guidelines and standards on child-friendly justice".
