A citizens’ awareness campaign to combat sexism, harassment, and violence against women in elections was launched by the Council of Europe, in partnership with the Central Electoral Commission and Audiovisual Council.

The campaign was supported by political parties, public authorities and civil society partners who championed the campaign slogan: “Nu tolerez sexismul. Îl raportez!” (“Don’t tolerate the sexism. Report it!”) at the public launch in Chisinau.

The event was part of the “Improving Electoral Practice in the Republic of Moldova, Phase III” Project which is aligned with five other Council of Europe projects that contribute to combatting sexism and hate speech in society.
