At their meeting on 19 March, the Ministers’ Deputies held an exchange of views with Ms Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). President Spoljaric provided an update on the trends being seen in conflict zones globally and the impact on civilians, together with the need to reinvigorate political support for international humanitarian law.
 
The Deputies also heard a communication by Mr Mathieu Mori, Secretary General of the Congress, on the preparation of the 48^th Session of the Congress (25-27 March 2025) and other activities of the Congress.
