At their 1306th meeting, the Ministers' Deputies held an exchange of views with Mr Peter McCormick, President of the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors (CCPE), following his presentation of Opinion No. 12 (2017) of the CCPE on the role of prosecutors in relation to the rights of victims and witnesses in criminal proceedings and of a report on the independence and impartiality of the prosecution services in the Council of Europe member States in 2017.
The Deputies adopted resolutions on the implementation of the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities by Bulgaria and the United Kingdom.
They also took note of the following information:
- annual report on the implementation of the Council of Europe Gender Equality Strategy 2014-2017;
- Opinion No. 20 (2017) of the Consultative Council of European Judges (CCJE) on the role of courts with respect to the uniform application of the law;
- CCJE report on judicial independence and impartiality in Council of Europe member States in 2017.
