The Ministers' Deputies held their 1335th meeting on 30 January 2019.
During this meeting, the Deputies:
- adopted guidelines to facilitate the use of electronic evidence in court proceedings. These guidelines are the first such international instrument and their primary purpose is to help the 47 member states adapt the operation of their judicial and other dispute-resolution mechanisms to address issues arising in relation to electronic evidence in civil and administrative proceedings (more ...);
- agreed to draw up the list of candidates for the post of Secretary General at their 1342nd meeting on 27 March 2019 for subsequent transmission to the Parliamentary Assembly;
- agreed to a request from Iceland and Italy to switch the dates of their respective chairmanships. Consequently, Italy will chair the Committee of Ministers from November 2021 to May 2022 and Iceland from November 2022 to May 2023.
The Deputies also held discussions with:
- Ms Liliane Maury Pasquier, President of the Parliamentary Assembly, following the 1st part of the Assembly's 2019 Session (Strasbourg, 21-25 January 2019);
- Ms Dunja Mijatović, Commissioner for Human Rights, on her 4th Quarterly Activity Report 2018 and other recent activities.
