At the beginning of their 1504th meeting, the Ministers' Deputies held a minute of silence in honour of the victims of recent Russian attacks against Ukraine, notably on a children’s hospital in Kyiv on 8 July.
The Deputies held an exchange of views with Ms Helga Maria Schmid, Secretary General of the OSCE.
They welcomed the Vilnius Declaration, adopted at the High-level Conference on the European Social Charter (Vilnius, 4 July 2024) [more information …], as well as the invitation of the Republic of Moldova to host the next High-level Conference on the European Social Charter in Chişinău, in 2026, in the framework of its presidency of the Committee of Ministers and coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Revised Social Charter.
The Deputies took note with satisfaction of the mid-term progress review report on implementation of the Neighbourhood Partnership with Morocco from 2022 to 2023, as well as the mid-term review presented by the Italian Presidency on the Pompidou Group’s activities and achievements between January 2023 and June 2024 [more information …].
They also took note of:
- a policy paper on “Strategies and regulatory options aimed at reducing risks and harms related to online gaming and online gambling”, adopted by the Pompidou Group Permanent Correspondents at their 94th meeting (Naples, 30 May 2024);
- the 2023 annual report on implementation of the Gender Equality Strategy 2018-2023;
- the follow-up measures to resolutions adopted by the 17th Council of Europe Conference of Ministers responsible for Sport (Antalya, Türkiye, 26 October 2022).
