Meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies on 5 and 10 June 2024

At their 1500th meeting on 5 and 10 June 2024, the Ministers' Deputies continued their examination of the Secretary General's report on the human rights situation in the territories of Ukraine temporarily controlled or occupied by the Russian Federation and took a series of decisions in this respect.
 
In the context of their follow-up to the 133rd Session of the Committee of Ministers (Strasbourg, 16-17 May 2024), the Deputies underlined the importance of pursuing the implementation of the Declaration adopted at the 4th Summit of Heads of State and Government (Reykjavik, 16-17 May 2023) and, among other decisions, welcomed the Secretary General’s decision to appoint a Focal Point on the situation and return of Ukrainian children deported and forcibly transferred by the Russian Federation and invited her to take the necessary measures to pursue co-operation between the Council of Europe and the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.
