The Cooperation in Police, and Deprivation of Liberty Unit organised an international conference for high-level representatives of police services of Council of Europe member States on: “Policing in digital age, how new technologies can help better policing our modern societies

The conference was also an occasion to welcome the creation of the “Network of national correspondents of police authorities”, that will inter alia encourage the sharing of experience and exchange of views as regards the Council of Europe core values of human rights, democracy and rule of law (such as procedures for prevention and protection against torture and other forms of illtreatment) but also to share common knowledge on combating various forms of crime (organised crime, terrorism, trafficking in human beings, online sexual exploitation of children, hate speech and racism, cybercrime, domestic violence and violence against women, etc.).

The conference took place in Strasbourg on 28-29 June 2022.
