The Fifth Steering Committee meeting of the Action against Economic Crime in Montenegro, under European Union and Council of Europe Horizontal Facility for Western Balkans and Turkey – Phase II, took place on 1 February 2022 in Podgorica, Montenegro. The Steering Committee Meeting was convened to discuss the implemented activities in the past seven months, analyze main results and challenges and adopt the workplan for the final year of the Action. The meeting was attended by all beneficiary institutions and representatives of the European Union Delegation and the Council of Europe.

Very positive feedback on the implemented activities was given by the Ministry of Justice, FIU, Supreme Court and Judicial Training Center. A set of new activities was proposed by the beneficiaries for the forthcoming period, including analysis of the Law on Prevention of Corruption and updating of the Communication Strategy for the Agency for Prevention of Corruption.
