Project against Economic Crime (PECK III) held its seventh Steering Committee Meeting

On 10 October 2024, the seventh Steering Committee Meeting of the Joint EU/Council of Europe Project against Economic Crime (PECK III) took place in Pristina, gathering representatives of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption (APC), Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU-K), Central Bank (CBK), National Coordinator for Combating Economic Crime (NCEC), Tax administration, Customs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Finance, Development Cooperation Office at the Office of Prime Minister, Council of Europe and EU Office in Pristina. 

The project team presented the project achievements and results of the implementation since the last meeting consisting of 28 main activities attended by 516 participants.

The meeting proceeded with very interactive discussions and contributions from all participants who presented a number of achievements in the area of economic crime as a direct result of support provided within the framework of PECK III.

In her opening remarks, the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Pristina, Mary-Ann Hennessey praised the solid cooperation with all the parties involved in making sure that the implementation of the project is successful.

Members of the Steering Committee reiterated their commitment to continue cooperation and emphasised the need for further support and contribution of the Council of Europe through PECK III taking into account strategic priorities in the fight against economic crime in Kosovo.

The activity was organised within the framework of the “Project against Economic Crime in Kosovo*” (PECK III), jointly funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the latter.
