On 12-14 February 2020, the South Neighbourhood Anti-Corruption Project (SNAC 3) organised a regional workshop which aimed to promote a strategic approach to cooperation between the anti-corruption agencies and civil society and media.
After gathering input from regional and European anti-corruption authorities through the Network of Corruption Prevention Agencies (NCPA), the activity brought the Project’s main beneficiaries, namely the Moroccan, Jordanian, Palestinian and Tunisian anti-corruption authorities together with their European counterparts as well as the representatives of media organisations and anti-corruption NGOs, with a view to develop a common vision for effective cooperation with these two essential non-state sectors. The participants’ reflections on current practices and challenges fed into the development of two Model Strategies for Cooperation, respectively with the Civil Society and the Media, which will serve as valuable tools for national anti-corruption agencies of the MENA region and beyond.
