Over 50 representatives of the Federal Business Ombudsman Office, the Regional Business Ombudspersons’ offices and the local business community participated in the seminar on “Corruption risks, protection mechanisms and good governance for business” held on 17 September 2015 in Irkutsk. The seminar was opened by Aleksey Moskalenko, Business Ombudsman of the Irkutsk region and Petr Sich, Head of the Council of Europe Programme Office in Russia.
The last in a series of eight seminars, it provided a venue for the presentation and discussion of two handbooks prepared by Council of Europe experts: “Corruption risks and protection mechanisms for entrepreneurs” and “Good governance in business”. At the end of the seminar the participants discussed a set of recommendations of experts addressed to national authorities for improvement and strengthening of the mechanisms of protection of entrepreneurs against corruption.
