Corruption proofing of legislation is one of the relevant tools to prevent corruption. Corruption proofing of draft legal acts is conducted to reduce corruption risks and remove the risk factors which generate them.
On 22 December 2021, a workshop on corruption proofing was organised in close collaboration with the Services of the Legal Advisor and Legislation at the Presidency of the Government. within the framework of the "Project to support independent bodies in Tunisia" (PAII-T) which is a joint initiative of the European Union and the Council of Europe.
The workshop brought together representatives of the legal affairs directorates of several ministries, directorates of the Presidency of the Government as well as a representative of the Presidency of the Republic. Participants discussed the steps in view of the development of a methodology for corruption proofing of legislation which is to be adapted to the Tunisian context.
The workshop was organised in the framework of the Project to support independent bodies in Tunisia (PAII-T), which is co-financed by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the latter.
