Description

The Côa Valley Museum and Archaeological Par consists of a main interpretation centre in Vila Nova de Foz, and two other Visitor Reception Centres, from where the three most important groups of rock art can be visited.
The Côa Park - Foundation for the safeguarding and promotion of the Côa Valley was established in 2011 to manage the Côa Valley Archaeological Park and the Côa Museum. Its main purposes are the protection, conservation, research, and dissemination of the Côa prehistoric heritage, combining the Museum's attractiveness with public visits to Upper Palaeolithic rock art (www.prehistour.eu/carp-guide/cocirca-valley-archeological-park).
