The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Government of Castile and León is in charge of regional powers in the areas of culture and art, cultural heritage, sports and tourism.
The main Romanesque site of the Monastery of Santo Domingo de Silos (Monasterio de Santo Domingo de Silos) is located in Castile and León.
The Museo Numantino in Soria hosts the Villalba palaeolithic plate, an outstanding engraved object of Late Solutrean or Early Magdalenian (www.prehistour.eu/carp-guide/the-villalba-paque).
The Museum of Segovia hosts a number of small schist and slate plaques and flat cobblestones are decorated with finely-incised engravings, representing horses in a naturalistic style, geometric designs with parallel lines, and other geometric motifs from Late Magdalenian (www.prehistour.eu/carp-guide/estebanvela-plaques).
At the Museum of León is preserved the Idol of Tabuyo del Monte, a large, nearly rectangular slab of schist with an incised engraving representing a schematic anthropomorph (www.prehistour.eu/carp-guide/tabuyo-del-monte-idol).
The open air rock site of Domingo García forms one of the most important groups of open-air engravings in Iberia, together with Siega Verde and Foz Côa (www.prehistour.eu/carp-guide/domingo-garcia-openair-site).
The complex in Prádena (Segovia), which includes Los Enebralejos Cave, a Visitors’ Centre and a reconstruction of the settlement (www.prehistour.eu/carp-guide/eneblalejos-cave).
