- The Hespertal Railway is a historic railway (1877) with steam locomotive still in operation between Essen-Kupferdreh and Haus Scheppen on the Baldeney Lake in Essen.
The Hespertal Railway Association operates the heritage railway with historic steam and diesel locomotives.
The Hespertal Railway is an Individual Site of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
