Description
The site of the Hungarian Museum of Science, Technology and Transport primarily devoted to transport includes a replica of a railway station of the early 20th century and numerous railway models. It also has extensive sections on the history of roads and trading along the Danube.
The Museum of Electrical Engineering’s permanent exhibitions present the history and curiosities of electrification and electronics.
The Technical Study Stores are an hybrid exhibition place where technological artefacts are presented on metal shelves, from technical miracles to everyday household and electric devices of the last centuries.
The Ábrahám Ganz Foundry Collection illustrates the life of the Swiss entrepreneur Abraham Ganz, the history of the building, the role of foundries in Hungary and living conditions of the workers in the nineteenth century.
The Metallurgical Collection is hosted in the Chancellery building of Miskolc-Felsőhámor, telling the history of iron metallurgy from Ancient Times till the end of the 20th century. The Massa Museum with the monumental blast furnace exhibits the main events of the local of iron metallurgy.
The Hungarian Museum of Science, Technology and Transport is a Corporate Member of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
