- Description
- The iron bridge on the Severn Gorge (1779) was of its kind in the world, and is today a monument to Industrial Revolution. The bridge was built to link the industrial town of Broseley with the smaller mining town of Madeley (Shropshire).
The Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust is operates the Ironbridge Gorge Museum, together with other museums and historic sites within the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site.
The Ironbridge Gorge Museum is an Anchor Point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
