Cyfarthfa Castle (1824) is the best preserved and grandest ironmaster’s house in Wales, overlooking its ironworks. The Museum and Art Gallery occupies a part of the Castle and contain a collection of memorabilia, fine and decorative art and curiosity from around the world. The Cyfarthfa Castle & Park complex includes several facilities and hosts numerous events.
The Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council is engaged in preserving its rich built heritage for the benefit of the community and future generations.
Cyfarthfa Park is an Individual Site of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
