The Municipality of Lloret de Mar represents the General Cemetery of Reus (Cementiri Modernista) in the European Cemeteries Route, Cultural Route of the Council of Europe.
Santa Clotilde Gardens, designed in 1919 by Nicolau Maria Rubió i Tudurí, are characterized by a clear Italian influence, combined with the surrounding architecture and a magnificent setting. The young architect was immersed in the predominant artistic currents of the time, such as Noucentisme: a cultural movement in Catalonia that at the beginning of the 20th century sought the recovery of the classical form through the search for symmetry, proportion and order. Nicolau Maria Rubió i Tudurí conveyed these ideals in an open space like a garden (www.europeanhistoricgardens.eu/en/portfolio-item/santa-clotilde-gardens).
