- Description
- The National Coal Mining Museum for England (formerly known as Yorkshire Mining Museum) is a museum dedicated to social and industrial history of mining. Visitors can experience the underground conditions miners worked in and see the tools and machines they used. The Museum is located in the Caphouse Colliery, one of the oldest collieries in the United Kingdom.
The National Coal Mining Museum for England is an Anchor Point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
