- Description
- Pilsner Urquell Brewery opened in 1842 and was the first brewery to produce a pale lager later known as “pils”, “pilsener” and “pilsner”. A brewery museum (Pivovarské muzeum) has been set up near the brewery in the medieval brewing house. The exhibition focuses both on history of and process of brewing.
The Pilsner Urquell Brewery is an Anchor Point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
