- VALSOUSA pursues the specific interests of its member municipalities in the following areas: promotion of economic, social and environmental development; design and execution of projects for the valorisation of Vale do Sousa resources; protection and promotion of the historical, cultural and tourist heritage of Vale do Sousa.
VALSOUSA includes the municipalities of:

• Paços de Ferreira
• Paredes
• Penafiel
“Rota do Românico” is a project aimed at the development of the Region of Tâmega and Sousa and based on the common rich heritage of Romanesque origin, expressed in monasteries, churches, chapels, memorials, castles, towers and bridges.
