Montenegro: Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe presented at Milocer Development Forum

On 21-22 September 2018, the XXIII Regional Milocer Development Forum “Economic Development Model based on Tourism – Challenges and Threats” was held in Cetinje, Montenegro. Stefano Dominioni, Executive Secretary of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes and Director of the European Institute of Cultural Routes, participated to a discussion panel on new ideas in Montenegrin Tourism, testifying the role of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe promoting a responsible, sustainable tourism. Indeed, through its programme, the Council of Europe offers a model for transnational cultural and tourism management.

Eminent national and international experts of tourism and economy brought their precious input to the discussions, including representatives from the Montenegrin and Croatian Chambers of Economy and the Montenegrin Ministry of Culture. The Forum was organised by the Association of Economists and Managers of Montenegro (AEM ME), in cooperation with the University of Donja Gorica (UDG) and the Baltic Management Development Association.
