On 26 November, the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme was presented at Joint Meeting of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Working Groups on Culture and on Cooperation in Tourism at the BSEC Headquarters in Istanbul, Turkey.
Mr. Stefano DOMINIONI, Executive Secretary of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe (EPA) and Director of the European Institute of Cultural Routes, attended the Conference and presented the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe among experts from the relevant Ministries in charge of culture and tourism of the BSEC member States.
The meeting was the opportunity for the EPA Secretariat to discuss with the BSEC PERMIS Secretary General, Ambassador Mr. Michael B. CHRISTIDES, future cooperation and a possible Regional Cultural Route Mapping Document for the Black Sea Region fostering Cultural Routes development among BSEC member States.

The BSEC Working Group on Cooperation in Tourism carries out activities in order to promote regional cooperation in the field of tourism. This mission has been also developed through a collaboration with the BSEC Working Group on Culture, which has in its agenda many projects fostering cooperation in the field of culture in the Black Sea Region such as Cultural Routes mapping.
The Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation includes the following member States: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
