The Faro Convention is currently “walking its talk” in the neighbourhood of Mouraria, Lisbon, Portugal where some sixty international and local participants are exchanging their experience of community regeneration, its impact on heritage and vice-versa.

This is an emerging issue across member States, and the Council of Europe’s Faro Convention on the Value of Cultural Heritage for Society offers an instrumental framework to address the challenges in a participatory and democratic manner
