With over a decade of experience in cybersecurity, Akbar has developed a strong focus on cryptocurrency investigations. Formerly a cybercrime researcher at Singapore's Ministry of Home Affairs, he actively contributed to training law enforcement officers across the ASEAN region in cybercrime investigations. His interest was in internet investigations, scams hunting, phishing, and malware analysis, all of which have played a crucial role in combating cybercrime. Currently, as the Head of Investigations for the Asia-Pacific region at Binance, Akbar is dedicated to creating a secure ecosystem for cryptocurrencies.
