On 9 July 2024, a one-day meeting on cybercrime legislation reforms was carried out in Yerevan, Armenia. Local authorities discussed with the Council of Europe experts a series of practical steps towards the implementation of procedural powers under the Convention on Cybercrime (Budapest Convention) and the Second Additional Protocol to this treaty on enhanced cooperation and disclosure of electronic evidence.
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Police, the Ministry of Justice, the Data Protection Agency, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Investigative Committee and the National Communications Regulator examined the current state of legislation in the field of cybercrime.
