On 13-14 December 2022, the CyberEast joint project of the European Union and the Council of Europe organized a regional Meeting in Tbilisi, Georgia, on cybercrime and incident reporting as well as legal mechanisms for data sharing between law enforcement and Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) in countries of the Eastern Partnership.
A specific workshop was held for Ukrainian counterparts on matters of legislation and incident reporting in light of the ongoing war of aggression by the Russian Federation.
The meeting resulted in a set of proposals in view of improving cooperation between law enforcement and CSIRTS, in line with the Budapest Convention and its Second Additional Protocol, related to cybercrime/cyber incident reporting and handling, use of common taxonomies, and data sharing. These findings will further inform future capacity building under the CyberEast Project.
