CyberSouth+ contribution to the EU Cybersecurity Strategy for the Digital Decade course by the European Security and Defence College

On 10 May 2024, the joint European Union - Council of Europe CyberSouth+ project contributed to the session on Advancing a global and open Cyberspace of the course “The EU’s Cybersecurity Strategy for the Digital Decade” by presenting on Council of Europe’s cybercrime capacity building priorities.

The course, organised every year by the European Security and Defence College and the Italian Interagency Law Enforcement Academy of Advanced Studies, provided the opportunity to share information on the projects currently implemented by the Cybercrime Programme Office of the Council of Europe (C-PROC) and illustrate main efforts in the implementation of the international legal standards into the domestic legislation and the necessary capacities and capabilities of the criminal justice authorities for addressing cybercrime and e-evidence.

The course gathered all main European institutions dealing with cybercrime, offering the opportunity for a comprehensive understanding about roles, responsibilities and activities as well as strategies and action plans to address cyber threats in Europe.
