On 23 February 2023, a national workshop on “The links between cybercrime investigations and data protection regulation” was organised within the framework of the CyberSouth project,in Amman, Jordan.
Members of the judicial sector and representatives of the National Cybersecurity Agency, of the Central Bank, of the Legislation and Opinion Bureau as well as of the Ministry of Justice, strengthened their knowledge, through exchanges, on the data protection regulation and the current draft law, which is pending parliamentary approval.
The participants improved their knowledge on the international standards set by the Convention 108+ that could be reflected in the current draft law and on the methods regarding the protection of the personal data in cybercrime investigations, also in light of the Second Additional Protocol to the Budapest Convention.
