On 26 March, a new practitioner-to-practitioner (P2P) webinar was organised by the GLACY-e project in the framework of the International Network of National Judicial Trainers (INJT), with the support of the other capacity building projects implemented by the Cybercrime Programme Office.
The discussions focused on romance scams and gave the participants the occasion to share case studies and good practices on investigative tools and methods. Moreover, the exchanges touched upon practicesused by the scammers, red flags, qualification of criminal offences, vulnerability of victims and avenues for international cooperation.
The webinar was led by the national trainers from Nigeria and was attended by more than 60 cybercrime professionals from 16 countries connected to the webinar.
The series of P2P webinars will continue and the topic of the upcoming one will be on how to address cyberviolence cases. The date of the webinar will be communicated in due time to the members of the Network.
