The GLACY+ project facilitated two sessions of Legislative drafting, on 11 – 13 and 15 September (online) and 23 – 27 October (in presence) in Kigali, Rwanda.
Following the successful Workshop on cybercrime and electronic evidence legislation organised on 6 -8 February 2023 in Kigali, Rwanda, the current trainings were designed to provide the necessary tools to the national drafting team tasked with preparing draft amendments to the 2018 Cybercrime Law , in line with the Convention on Cybercrime (Budapest Convention).
The Legislative drafting meetings concluded with a detailed structure of the proposed amendments to the 2018 Cybercrime Law, laying the foundations for the legislative changes on cybercrime and electronic evidence, according to international standards.
Future fine-tunning of the draft provisions, as well as necessary stakeholder consultations will benefit from the support of the GLACY-e project.
