As part of an effort to effectively counter borderless cybercrime, the Korean National Police Agency holds an annual International Symposium on Cybercrime Response (ISCR) for law enforcement authorities. This year’s ICSR took place on 31 August – 2 September, in Seoul, South Korea.
A session on day 1 was dedicated to the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime and the international response to cybercrime. This was an opportunity to highlight the tools and benefits of the Convention on Cybercrime and its Second Addtional Protocol on enhanced co-operation and disclosure of electronic evidence. The succesfull experience of Sri Lanka served as illustration for the impact of the Convention on Cybercrime on domestic legislation, capacity building and international cooperation also for countries of Asia.
