Mesut BEDIRHANOGLU graduated with a PhD in Public International Law (2005-2012) and worked for a short period of time as a lawyer and as a seminar teacher in constitutional law (2016) in Strasbourg. He also worked as a lawyer in Istanbul for several years (2013-2016) and as a lawyer at the Registry of the European Court of Human Right for four years (2007-2011). He worked at the Secretariat of the European Commission for Democracy through Law between 2017 and 2020 when he joined the Secretariat of GRETA (Group of Expert on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings). He is the author of the book La conception turque de la laïcité à l’épreuve du standard européen de société démocratique, published in 2015 in Paris.
