Trinidad and Tobago has been invited by the Council of Europe to accede to the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime. 

Earlier this year, Trinidad and Tobago participated in activities under the Octopus project in support of reforms of domestic legislation on cybercrime.

With Trinidad and Tobago, 66 States are Parties and a further 12 States have signed it or been invited to accede.
