The Council of Europe project in the Republic of Belarus aims at providing support to the authorities’ efforts to put in place a strong legal framework in respect of data protection, which would comply with the requirements of the most recent international standards, notably Convention 108+.

This objective is pursued through

• providing legal expertise
• providing information and enabling exchanges on applicable standards and case law of the European Court on Human Rights
• sharing experience and good practice
