The Steering Committee for the Rights of the Child (CDENF) is about to make headway in its work on preventing violence against children, through two meetings taking place this week: At their first meeting on 23-24 June, experts on the Working group on Violence against children will examine mandatory reporting mechanisms for professionals to signal various forms of violence against children and peer to peer violence and harmful sexual behaviour by children. On 26 June, the Steering Committee for the Rights of the Child (CDENF) will hold a thematic exchange on “COVID-19 pandemic responses: lessons learnt from management and adaptation to ensure that children are treated as rights holders during the pandemic and beyond”.
