On 20 April, Deputy Secretary General Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni met with Minister for Social Dialogue of Romania Liviu Marian Pop, who was in Strasbourg to exchange with the Standing Committee of the INGO Conference on the setting up in Romania of a consultative body attached to the Prime Minister’s office. Deputy Secretary General Battaini-Dragoni emphasized the need for an inclusive process for the setting up of such bodies. Furthermore, she referred to the Turin process relaunching the European Social Charter and called on the Minister to consider ratifying the Additional Protocol providing for a system of collective complaints.
