A Council of Europe conference on Promoting Human Rights of Persons with Disabilities is scheduled to take place in Dublin on 5-6 November 2015, in cooperation with the Department of Justice and Equality of Ireland.
The aim of the conference will be to review how member states have implemented the Council of Europe Disability Action Plan (2006-2015) and the Committee of Ministers Recommendation Rec(2006)5 to promote the rights and full participation of people with disabilities in society and improving the quality of life of people with disabilities.
The impact on policy and legislative developments and good practices will be discussed. Further, the participants will set out the priorities and main lines of action for the future Council of Europe Disability Strategy.
