The Council of Europe, UNESCO, NOKUT (the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, which is also the Norwegian ENIC/NARIC) and the UNHCR are involved in discussions of a global qualifications passport for refugees.
At a first meeting of partners, held in Oslo in early June, the Council of Europe presented the experience of its European Qualification Passport for Refugees (EQPR), in which both NOKUT and the UNHCR play key roles. So far, 406 candidates have been interviewed, and of these 337 have received the EQPR. 298 interviews have so far been conducted face to face and 108 online. The experience of the EQPR will be key to the development of a global qualifications passport.
