The National Centre for Teacher Professional Development (TPDC) organized a conference on Global Citizenship Education on 30 October 2023, in Tbilisi, during which Media and Informational Literacy and Digital Citizenship Education core concepts were under discussion. After the discussion in the plenary, several parallel workshops were organized, allowing school principals and teachers to present past and ongoing projects in schools focused on topics such as 'Media Literacy in my classroom', 'Digital Instruments and Media Literacy', 'Media Literacy and Critical Thinking' and 'Use of the Artificial Intellect in Education – What Teachers Should Know on AI'.

The conference was organized in partnership with the UNESCO Centre – 'Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding'.

The above good practice has been shared via the Digital Citizenship Education (DCE) Promoters Network, created in 2019 to facilitate the implementation of DCE in schools and other non-formal and/or informal learning contexts, and for its promotion at local, regional and national levels. DCE promoters have carried out numerous activities aimed at policymakers, teachers, students, teacher trainers, families and school inspectors.
