The Inaugural Steering Committee meeting of the new, third phase of the action "Quality education for all" took place in Belgrade on 7 February 2023. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Institute for Improvement of Education and the Institute for Education Quality and Evaluation.

The meeting was opened by Nadia Cuk, Deputy Head of the Council of Europe office in Belgrade, who pointed out the importance of the commitment and co-operation of the members of Steering Committee that has led to success of the action.

Vesna Atanasova, Head of Unit at the Education Department of the Council of Europe, expressed her thanks to the members of the Committee for their efforts to make the action sustainable and successful.

Anamarija Viček, State Secretary in the Ministry of Education, confirmed the importance of the action regarding the overall development of education quality and policies in Republic of Serbia and repeated significance its impact had had on positive change in the country.

The project team presented the draft workplan for the next four years of the action implementation emphasising the possibility to adapt certain activities depending on changing circumstances and the demands and needs of the beneficiary. The members of the Steering Committee supported the proposed plan and expressed their firm commitment to jointly achieve the goals of the action.

The action Quality education for all is implemented under the joint European Union/Council of Europe programme “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Türkiye”.
