As announced during the LASLLIAM information webinar last January, a conference to launch the reference guide will take place on 30 June 2022, from 09:00 to 17:00 CET, at the Council of Europe headquarters in Strasbourg (in hybrid mode and in English and French).

The reference guide was developed by a group of experts and the Council of Europe Education Department to support high-quality learning environments for non- and low-literate migrants. Research has shown that when it comes to language or knowledge of society courses, the needs of this group of migrants are rarely taken into consideration, and they are rarely offered a sufficient number of hours of teaching to reach the language level required.  

The Conference will bring together the authors, international speakers, experts in the linguistic integration of migrants, European educational professionals who participated in the validation and piloting processes of the Reference Guide and other professionals in the field.
